Artist Profile

A spiritual journey

As an art professional, having lived in India, Russia and United States, I am always looking for an opportunity to translate what I experience into art. I have been an exponent of Tanjore and Miniature art forms. However, the Pichwai art form with intricate use of pure gold leaves has become my calling for its richness and magnificence.

Pichwai flowered in Nathdwara, a temple town that has an unbroken tradition of producing the richly hued paintings made on sheets of cloth using hand blocks, embroidery, or weaving.

The art usually narrates episodes from the life of Lord Krishna.

The use of 22K Gold leaves in Pichwai art is age old but has been disappearing with time. I consider myself a revivalist endeavoring to preserve this unique indigenous art executed with tremendous amount of creativity.

I am also combining my unique expression of intricate mesh backdrop to create a distinct blend of modern with the traditional.

I invite you to discover my work that has been created with years of spiritual effort.

Please contact me should you want to commission a personal piece.
